Dead wasps

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Here is what i faced with when i opened up the club tonight to work in the bar - found these dead wasps on the hallway. Really glad they are dead (apart from two or three was still alive but crawling around on the floor)
Looks like we have a nest somewhere… Good thing the council is aware and will sort it out soon!

Pepsi

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Once again, Pepsi is here with us for the next 2 weeks as my parents are off on holiday. She seems to be more relaxed than before which is a good thing. However she is still nosey as usual. :D

At the moment she is relaxing in the hallway upstairs. Will take a pic soon.

In other news, I’m feeling much better than a few days ago which I am glad. Today will be taken up with washing our clothes as it’s piling up. And have lunch, etc.

Happy Birthday to Craig!

Holiday

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Back from holiday yesterday and already, today I am ill! :(

But for the holiday, it was fab. Very hot all week (between 30C to 32C) apart from last Sunday where it rained so hard, roads turned into streaming of river! But it lasted only 30 mins or so and it was sunny again.

Got sunburnt very little however I’m happy with my tanned look. :P Most of the time, we just relaxed, with last Monday and last Wed going out and about in one of these coach trips. Our £500 spending money all gone in one week, even down to last coins but it was worth it as we enjoyed our holiday anyway.

Photos to follow later, perhaps this weekend.

Need more sleep, tho. Anything interesting happening while I’m gone?

Garden, Packing & Work

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Morning

Cleaned up the garden, cut the grass as it was well overdue and trimmed the edges of the garden.

Afternoon

Relaxed, had lunch, watched TV and got ready for work.

Work was ok, has problems with booting up one or two servers and one UPS blew the fuse (but fixed it) so apart from it, the power up was successful, ready for action.

Evening

Came home, watched more TV, had dinner and sorted out the money & packing. Need to do some more tomorrow as we still have some clothes to dry out before packing them in.

So, a busy Sunday I guess.

Packing…

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Packing are processing well so far. Went to the see my mum yesterday to have a hair cut and then headed to the city to buy some stuff & converted our money to Euros. Had lunch, wandered around for a bit and then went to missus parent house for a chat.

Today, we are going to do some loads of washing & hang up clothes before packing them away. Maybe clean up the house or something,

Going to work at 3pm today for overtime work to power on servers as the electricity company had to turn off the power up the road for repairs which affected our work place. The extra money is nice.

Hopefully we will have the packaging all done by the end of today so we can have a relaxing Monday!

In other news… RIP Colin McRae :(

Suitcases

Monday, September 10th, 2007

Mum suggsted Poundstretcher in Anglia Square so we went there after work. And we found a good suitcases! Only £20 each and it’s a good size.

So one list off our list of things to buy. :D

Work was ok, new building are all done and was open to students for the first time today. Only had a few problems like lecturers’s laptop not connecting to the Hitachi board, etc but it wasn’t that bad.

Watched TV where the man could se the future, but after a fw tests, he failed badly… I somehow don’t believe it exists…. but who knows?

4 working days left. :D

Shopping

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

Spent most of today doing some holiday shopping - clothes, stuff we need like suncream, etc. Only need to do is to find a good and strong suitcases, but we didn’t find one that are reasonable priced suitcase. I mean, would you pay £80 to £100 for one?? Seems a waste…

So will hunt around this week or if you know of one, let me know! Same with converting the money to euros - seems Marks & Spencer is the winner with €1.41 to £1 unless it changes during the week.

Then in the evening, we sat down & watched The Butterfly Effect which was recorded on my HDD recorder - great film with the endings cut off a bit which was a bit odd.

Oh and my granny got a new laptop with broadband internet access. Which means I can now communicate her via e-mail! At last. :)

Work tomorrow. The start of the actual term. More students. More crazy days. Yay!

Finally, got home about an hour ago. Overall, we seemed to enjoy our day (8 hours!) of sitting down and chatting with each other.
Ah well, nevermind! Hoping to move the date to next month. .
