This evening…

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

Dinner and bowling this evening was good. I won on both games. :D

Remember to wrap up warm for you UK peeps for tomorrow… it’s going to snow/freeze!! Welcome to our crazy world…

Do we blame ourselves for the global warming? Or it’s just the world changing itself?

I dunno, man. But I know I need sleep.

So goodnite!

We’ve done it!

Saturday, March 17th, 2007

The new dinner table and chairs looks GREAT! With piles of packaging stuff piled up. :)

So we tidied up the living room, took to the rubbish tip and threw them away.

Then went to shopping to buy some lunch and headed home to watch DVD - Twelve Monkeys while eating our lunch. Was a good film to watch anyway.

Afterward, we got ready to go out tonight, which we’re leaving in about 10 minutes time.

In the meanwhile, here are the photos of the finished products…

The 4 x chairs

Need your advice… which one looks better?

Table extended with one chair per side

Table extended with two chairs on both sides

Table unextended with two chairs on both sides

Table unextended with one chair per side. Which are better-

And The mess :D

Anyway, we’re outta here!

So… hello there

Saturday, March 17th, 2007

Another week gone, another lack of posts from me. :)

Since getting our new sofa last Monday, we have been sitting on them more as it’s soooo comfy than our previous sofa! However we have not made any start with our new dinner table and today, I’m planning to put them together as the living room is a mess at the moment.

Will take some pics when it’s done.

For the past few days, I have been waking up at 6:30am more often than usual and I’m not sure why. The only change I can see was the weather but I don’t think it’s related? Anyway, I think it’s good as I do more thing done as I have more hours to use up. :D

Going to a friend’s party tonight - dinner and ten pins bowling - should be fun.

Oh and you should try Windows Live Writer - that’s what I’m using to type this entry - it’s not bad but it’s still beta. But a good program anyway.

The sky is blue, the sun is shining and…

… we got the new sofa! It looks wonderful! Photos uploaded to my gallery.

It’s sooo comfy and much better than the old sofa.

I think I’ll spend more time watching TV while sitting on that sofa. :P

Weather and its effects

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Having a nice weather has some effect on me… well I think so!

Last Friday, yesterday and today, I’ve done so much stuff! Mostly related to the house and the garden.

On Friday, I’ve helped move out the old sofa to someone else. I’ve cut the front garden’s grass. I’ve poked some holes and planted some more grass seeds in the back garden.

On Sat, tidied up the living room, and putting some ice cubes on the carpet where there was some “pressed down” carpet from the sofa - the ice cubes helps it to raise up! (Bet you didn’t know that) and then in the afrernoon, we went out to the city, cashed in the cheque and did a quick shopping.

And now this morning, I put all rubbish including the piles of wood and harden cement that has been sitting in the back garden for the past 5 to 6 months into my car and made my way to the rubbish tip. 10 mins later, it’s all gone. Yay!

In unrelated topic…

eBay - it’s going pretty well, have made around £100 from selling about 4 or 5 stuff in the past few weeks. I have also found some more stuff to sell on eBay which should reduce the number of junk I have but raising more money. I’m going to carry on looking for more stuff before putting them up.

My Car - have put up my new number plates (front & rear) on my car as the old one has bubbled up, which I think was due to a water leak in the middle of the number plate. It has the small website URL on the bottom of the plate - http://www.fordst170.co.uk - yeah I know, shameless ads, but so what - it’s my car. :P

My car is in need of a wash, but not in the blazing sun as the water would dry up too quick and leave marks on the bodywork. Perhaps tonight, when it’s cooler.

My Job - After turning me down on the new job, I have taken up a different path in my current job - do more work, do well, learn more and impress them. Hopefully something will come up. *shrugs*

My desk - is in a big need of a clean up - while I have filed away most of the paperworkin the filing cabinet, there are still more to go. Same with the other desk in the garage - need a clean up too.

Going to make a start on some of the items above and have lunch before heading out to the city in the afternoon as we need to post some stuff and perhaps go for a walk around or something else.

Hurrah its friday!

Friday, March 9th, 2007

Its friday! :D After work, we went home, got someone coming over with his trialer to take away the old softa to make way for our new sofa next Monday.
Then hoovered the living room, with some stuff rearranged tomorrow.
Then I made some holes in the back garden with the fork and put some more grass seed as there are some bald patches.
Finally I watered the back garden to begin thr growth! Hopefully it will look better by this Summer
Then we wandered around to the front garde. I made a start with cutting the overgrown grass while the missus put the old leaves in the brown bin for recycling and then finished it off with using the side trimmer for neat cut. It was getting dark now so we stopped.
We can’t see how clean it is now as it is dark but it does look a lot better than before. Going to wait till tomorrow to see if anything else needs to be done.
A great work by us in just a few hours! :D

Exhausting day

Monday, March 5th, 2007

Wow, I didn’t realise that the whole interview thing has made me exhausted at the end of the day - made me feeling sleepy.

Was told to see them tomorrow morning at 10:30am for the feedback and the result of the interview.

Wish me good luck for tomorrow!

Bingo and the Red Moon

Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

Gues who won in Bingo? Yep, that’s me, winning £21 - not bad for a night of game. :D

Headed back home and got out our telescope & binocular out and watched the Eclipse of the Moon, where it turns into red surface.

What a great view!

Anyone saw it?

Pepsi trying to butter me up for food

Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

Was tidying up the kitchen and she came out of the hiding place and was trying to butter me up for some food!

A quick video of her doing it. :D

Sooooo.

What’s up everyone?! :D

We’re doing good. Been busy preparing for the job interview for Monday, revising what to say, and revising what I need to remember. I really hope it will go well…

Also!

We have my parent’s cat over again, so hello again to PEPSI! However for some strange reason, she was scared yesterday and is still scared today. She has been hiding away under the stairs, behind the sofa all day. Not sure what has trigged it. have been trying to coax her ut with some food, but no, she’d rather hide away. Oh well, will leave her alone and hopefully she will come out.

We didn’t sleep well last night, next door has been arguing loudly (I didn’t hear but the missus did) at 1am and again at 3am - mostly of “leave me alone!”, “give her back” and also “let me feed her!” whic is strange as I know they have about 10 or 11 years old girl, but I don’t think she’d want to be fed by parents as she is old enough. But then at 3am? *shrugs*

Going to go out tonight to the Deaf Club for a fun game of bingo as I want to get out of the house and the preparation for the job interview. Need a break! :D
