Last Friday, two workmates are leaving from work, so we had a pub and bowling party.

We started with Trafford Arms for some drinkings before heading out to Hollywood Bowl for two games of bowling.

After some drunken chucking of balls at the pins from other people (I wasn’t drunk as I had to drive home), I ended up winning both games.

Then we crawled to the pub outside the bowling center - Norwegian Blue and I watched in shock as everyone downed 4 shots of sambuca with lots of beers. But it was a good night and we stayed there until the security dude kicked us out just after 12:30am.

Still, that did not stop others from going to the nightclub! But it was enough for me, gave my best wishes to one of the guy who was leaving (the other guy is leaving this Wed 28th) and I headed out to get my car to drive home.

I finally got home at 1:30am and went to bed straightaway - zzzzzz

I noticed that a few people are talking about their jobs on LJ, so I thought I’d chip in mine too… over the weekend I have been sorting out my CV, filling out the application form for the job at my workplace and I finally finished the application form this afternoon so that’s one thing less to do. It’s an internal vaccy and as far as I know, only myself an another guy are interested in this job. So it’s a bit of a competition.

Still, I’m hoping to get this job as it will help me in money wise.

Our front garden are still in mess from our gardening last week and the weather is starting to get dark already with a bit of rain and we don’t have front light to work in the dark. The front light is needed and it’s on our to-do list. Electricity cabling is the biggest problem as there is no nearest main point for it, so need to do some research on this.

The porch is still standing empty and we need to get our arse in gear to get it sorted out. Working full time is the biggest issue and we both only have time to do it during the weekend. We both don’t have enough leave to take until April. So as you can see, it delays things a bit…

Anyway, better start doing stuff that I meant to finish last week!

Went to dentist last year, all OK. Arranged a date for a check up on 12th Feb.

In January, we got a letter saying that it has been moved to 22nd Feb (today)

Today, we finished work early to visit the dentist.

Only to find that our dentist person has left work and we do not have anyone assigned. They are unable to fit us in as it’s fully booked and the only time they can do for us is SEPT!

They forgot to contact us. That sucks. We lost 2 hours of our working hours for nothing. :/

But the good thing is, our homeplace’s dentist has some spaces, so they are going to transfer us over, so we don’t have to drive all the way to Norwich.

But still… would be nice if they told us, eh?

In other news, HOWDY! I’m good. We are good. Missed the cat, but we are getting her again next week for the weekend - woohoo!

I am really impressed with how quickly Pepsi has settled down in a different house. At first, she was sniffing around the house, hides away a little but and she appears to be nervous.

But when I spent a bit of time with her, she started to relax and then she was lying down and resting everywhere! Stairs, living room, window still, hallway and even in the bathroom!

She also quickly picked up to where the poo box were and overnight she wee’ed and poo’ed in the box. So it’s an achievement for her!

She also played with her fav toy mouse, she always carry it in her mouth around the house - it’s the same with my parent’s house.

Now for today plans, we are going to start doing our veg patch as the seeds we planted last week or so are starting to grow out of the pot so we need to plant them outside soon.

Then maybe go gardening shopping in the afternoon - need something to hold up the plants.

Please say hello to Pepsi, who will be staying with us until Sunday evening.

Thought I’ve disappeared, eh? Nah, I’m still here, haunting you!

Work this week was okay, as it’s Half Term, meaning I was able to do more work done as the classrooms are not in use. So my call queue got less! Yay!

Dropped off my car at the Ford garage to have the new brakes upgraded and walked back home which only took me about 10 mins. The joy of living in a small town is almost everything are close to us. Going back there in an hour time to pick up my car.

Then go for a drive around to bed down the new brakes slowly before using it full on. Otherwise the brakes will go dodgy, according to some website I have been researching on.

So I guess I should take it easy for the first 100 miles.

Did I mention today is FRIDAY?? Woohoo, weekend is coming!

My parents is going away for the weekend, so we are going to look after their cat, Pepsi at our house. I know this might sound funny but I really can’t wait for that because I have missed my cats *so* much. Hopefully one day, we will have our own cat.

Going to tidy up my room (yep, still ongoing) and then pick up my car afterward.

Have been researching around to find someone who can replace my brake discs and pads and most of them wanted £55 to £65 an hour job without the price of the brake fluid.

However today, I visited my local Ford garage to see how much they are asking for - £64 inc VAT for th whole job and that including draining and filling up the brake fluid! Now that’s a good price and will be finding out the date to book my car in soon.

One thing less on my list.

Has been busy putting up some stuff on eBay - 9 items so far.

I really hope all 9 of them will be sold so there will be 9 items less in the house!

Need to look around in the garage to see what else I can sell tomorrow.

Yesterday. we was in Norwich, trying to find some stuff we need for the porch. And we didn’t have any much luck and ended up not buying anything.

Well, apart from the trip to Tesco to buy some lunch and then headed home to watch some DVD.

Went out again. Came back home, put up some stuff on eBay as I need t get rid of the stuff I have piled up here. It is also the first time I have put up some stuff on eBay for years - last time I sold some stuff was about 1 a year ago or so. Only 5 items listed so far and plan to add more later today - I just need to take some photos and write some text.

One day I hope most of the stuff will disappear, but we all know it won’t happen. I might end up selling the stuff at car boot sale in the summer or other methods (Freecycle?).

Weather is crap.. has been raining all day yesterday and it looks like it’s still raining for today!

Brekkie time…

Thank god it’s Friday.

We had a take away and watched rented DVD - Click - was a good film with a bit of a sad ending but spoiled it right at the end! Still a good show to watch. Not worth buying to own, but renting would be better.

Work was ok - we have half term next week and most of the people are on leave. I’m working all week as I don’t have any leave left until April. 2 months to go and counting…

Ohh, guess who got the new title of “Windows Live Butterfly” ?

Tomorrow, we’re going shopping to get the porch sorted out - pricing up materials, things we need to buy and hopefully ask a mate to help out with doing up a partition wall with door. Then get the walls painted and carpeted in the next few weeks time. We don’t want to leave it too long as the living room is still mess from the stuff we took out from the porch. Plus we have new sofa coming in soon, so yeah, we need to sort out the living room.

Time is limited and the only time we have all day is the weekend as we both work full day during the weekdays, so it’s difficult for us to do anything apart from waiting until the weekend. Hum ho, the joy of our own DIY work!

Cold tonight, going to snuggle up in bed and watch TV.

Been a while since I posted to my blog.

My excuse? I’ve been sick!

Went to work on Monday, feeling off. By it got to afternoon, I wasn’t well so my boss sent me home. Jumped in bed and trying to keep warm.

Same with Tuesday and Wed - stayed in bed most of the time, trying to recover.

By today, was feeling well enough to go to work, so I went to work. And it was okay.

When I arrived to work today, there was something on my desk. And it was from Microsoft. More gifts!

And it was from the MSN Soapbox team, thanking me for my time in the beta test of SoapBox. The gift was unexpected… I’d never thought I’d get it! I would be happy with something smaller. But they did send me this.

Wow, very nice of them… now I need to roll upmy arms and see if I would use it to make something!

Snow has been and gone. It’s almost melted away so I guess the heavy snow missed Norfolk - phew. No idea about tonight but it’s going to freeze overnight, I’m sure.

Anyone got snowed in?

Has been sanding the walls in the porch this morning. And the dust has covered me from head to toe. But it’s all done. Had a bath to wash off the dust and I’m all clean now.

Going to leave the dust to settle down before wiping down and then painting.

Cold, icy and heavy fog outside at the moment. Need to drive to Norwich for some weekly food shopping and bits for the porch… hopefully we won’t have any idiot Sunday drivers on the way…

The deliver guy turned up in the afternoon and delivered the porch - it looks good. A little bit too big but we’re going to get new sofa hopefully at the end of this month which should make the room look better.

And for the porch, we have done a lot of work taking down the old cupboard, clearing up, refilling the holes & gaps and left it to dry, waiting to be sanded down, which I will be doing that tomorrow morning. Then the walls will be painted. Have not decided what colour yet, but I suspect it will be similar to the living room’s colour.

Wonder what time they will turn up.

In the meanwhile, we are going to do some stuff around the house - measuring the porch, tidy up the garden (when the frost is all gone), tidy up the garage to make room for some things to be moved in there.
