Took this morning as half day from work so I can go and watch my workmates =
on the track at the Track Day to raise money for charity.

Both of them offered me a ride on there car. Did I say yes? Hell yes! I wen=
t on the scooby (250bhp) and it was a great car and the handling was good d=
ue to it being 4WD. I enjoyed it.

Then it was on the Lotus Elise (144bhp) and its quick but with it being rea=
r drive, it kept slipping on the corners and in the rain. But I still enjoy=
ed it anyway.

This made me consider doing it next year. Need to find out how much the tra=
ck day insurance costs and some upgrades like better brakes, etc.

Ello peeps, here’s my not-too-regular updates.

House

Still progressing as always. Made some last minute change of mind on some stuff and have decided to have some new lights for the living room, while the existing lightshade will go on the hall’s lights.

Unboxing are going on very slowly, mainly trying to work out which to keep and which to sell/throw away/give away. I think I have about 4 boxes left to go through. I need to buy more plastic box for storage and get the garage sorted out so I can put up some shelf and sort out my stuff that go into the garage.

How do you sort out your storage solutions? I’m interested to hear yours!

I just wish I could just click my fingers and everything are sorted out.

My Car

After a few weeks of being busy with the house stuff, I managed to find the time to upload the photos and movies of my cars (and a few others) being rolled road. Check it out at http://www.hypergallery.co.uk/rollingroad - make sure you turn up the volume for the movies.

One rant from me… I hate it when someone scratched/bumped my car’s body and not bother leaving a note! I found more scratches on the side body and a small paint chip/dent on the driver side… it looks like it has been banged by another door (i.e. at a car park)

My car is starting to look tatty now. I need to get it sorted out, along with the bonnet. I already have the quote, it’s finding the time to take it to the garage for filler and respray.

Then when it’s all sorted out, I want to take my car to a place where it will be given a full clean down and polish. Hmmmm!

Work

Work is going on okay. Summer work is always slow and it’s the same for this month. We are now having loads of students being enrolled for their course in Sept and it’s doing well so far.

I’ve been sorting out new software packages, testing and allocating them to rooms. Plus trying to arrange yet another Microsoft training in the next few weeks/months. Not sure which one I will take, perhaps Exchange or something else. Need to look into that.

Myself

I’ve had my ups and downs. Hurting my backs three times during the house sorting and moving. My legs and arms are bruised from the move and accidently banging myself to some corners of boxes that are on the floor, hallway, etc - yes, we need to sort it out soon. Some of my fingers has some cuts from cardboard cut, some knife cuts from cutting materials - ouch.

Now and then, my hands aches for no reason, not sure why. Maybe it’s a sign that I am getting old already?

My hair is overgrowing and needs a haircut - need to arrange one soon.

Others

Been to the committee meeting tonight - interesting chat tonight. Scheduled for more meetings next month.

My sister and her bf is going on holiday this Thurs for 2 weeks, lucky them. Hope they will enjoy their holiday! We want to go on holiday too.

Right I have blabbed on too long, so I’ll stop now.

And now in kettering once again - dropping off missus parents. Then going s=
hopping before heading home.

Last night, we went to housewarming party for my mate who moved into their =
new house. We had a great time and played a game.

We need a housewarming party soon too.

Going to have a rest for a bit before heading out. Have a great weekend and=

Yay its friday!

Pub tonight for the monthly deafies meetup. Not sure if many people will go=
due to holidays. But still going there anyway.=

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone. Only got two cards so far and 30 =
pounds cash.

Got some cakes for my workmates and they all rushed to it like hungry flock=
s of sheep. lol=

y and some stuff are going on ebay soon. Need to get rid of old stuff and r=

My birthday is tomorrow. Going out for dinner at a posh building after work=
tomorrow. I feel soooooo old

Sorry for my lack of posts for the past few days, has been very busy trying=
to get the house done so we can move in! Wardrobe is almost done and we ar=
e hoping to live there this sunday.

Oh and I forgot to mention that I saw my old car yesterday - the red Ford E=
scort (Can’t remember? See my gallery) - in a sorry state!

Very bad rust on rear wheel arch, a dent on the side wing and a big crack o=
n the front bumper. I don’t know why but I miss that car, even that I don’t=
own it anymore. Hum ho.=

Skydiving yesterday went really well on a lovely day and everyone enjoyed i=
t. Good result. We are hoping to raise about 5,000 pounds. They are working=
out how much they have raised so far.

Tomorrow, if BT did the job well, broadband should be enabled hopefully. Wh=
ich means I need to move the router to the new house today. And hook up my =
computers, lay out cables, etc.

And now back home. All are happy. Going to have a quick rest before going t=
o the deaf club.=

Sky diving has been cancelled due to the poor weather. Oh well. They are ho=
ping for a sunny weather tomorrow.

And I am in kettering at the moment to pick up missus dad and we are headin=
g back to norwich soon. Then I work in the bar with a mate tonight. Going t=
o be a busy day for me!=

Water is back
And we are having our first night of cooking our dinner here. The house fee=
ls like home already! But going back to the other house to sleep until wed =
or thurs when we have the new carpet fitted and put up the wardrobe.

Can’t wait!=

Turned on the water tap and there was nothing coming out. Missus called ang=
lian water and the auto message said there is a water leak down the road.

Went for a drive to have a look to see how bad it is, got there and the car=
went swimming! That’s how much the water are on the road. Looks bad and co=
uld take a while for them to fix it!

In other news, the house move yesterday went well. Picked up the van at hal=
f eight in the morning and didn’t stop till 10pm! However got all of the he=
avy and large stuff done with little stuff left which I will use my car to =
move the stuff across.

Things are good here and are almost done.

Broadband scheduled to be cut off from old house and enabled at the new hou=
se on the same day of Tuesday if BT doesn’t cock it up!

Tomorrow I am off to watch my crazy friends to jump out of the plane and sk=
y dive at Old Buckenham to raise money for the local Deaf Youth Club. Hopef=
ully the weather will be nice as its raining at the moment.

Better get on with unpacking.=

The new wardrobe arrived without any problems and I started to unack it and=
found out that it’s fooking heavy!

The manual says to take it apart everytime we wanted to move it. And with t=
he old carpet in the bedroom, we decided to leave it and get a new carpet l=
aid out first before doing up the wardrobe. So we will be carpet shopping a=
gain this friday and buy one. Argh, I hate delays!

Anyway, work’s all done today and have two days off, which is tomorrow and =
Friday for the house move. Picking up the van early tomorrow morning.

We got a lot to do tonight, packing our stuff! Going to be a long and busy =
4 days!=
