It’s the last day of July today. Tomorrow is August.
In 24 days time, it will be my birthday and will be another year older. Yikes. 
Been to the new house today and did some stuff. it’s starting to get together now. Lastest photos has been uploaded. Hoping to do up my study room tomorrow or Wed.
My back hurts, need rest…
Doing well so far. Living room is almost done. Two rooms are almost done to=
o. We are pleased so far. Need to put up the curtain rails which we hope wi=
ll be done today. :D=
The stress is getting to me now. Mostly toward the house stuff - trying to get it all done so we can move in soon.

Back home for relaxing but I went back to the new house myself to finish off small bits - didnt get home till after 10:30pm.

The carpet men came and went this afternoon. Had a look and it is much bett=
er than before. We are happy now.

They’re here again and redoing the carpet on the side of the wall. Missus a=
nd her mum are there watching them. And I am at work.
Hopefully this time they won’t mess it up!=
Well, that was a waste of time.
Carpet man was supposed to turn up at 10am. He didn’t turn up due to a delay in the other job.
After two phones calls, he turned up just after 3pm.
He got the new carpet with him and got it in the house. he had a look and agreed that the colour mismatch is bad. Plus the stairs needs to be redone a bit as it wasn’t straighten out smoothly.
Then all of sudden, he was being defensive about the work he has done, went on about how it was impossible to get the job perfect, etc etc. After some talking, it was agreed that the two carpet joins is to be covered with a brass cover free of charge.
However, he can’t do it today and we had to reschedule to this Wed. Missus and I can’t be there as we have to work so we have the missus mother to watch them.
Hopefully all will go well this Wed…
Work tomorrow. Early night for us.
Carpet man still has not turned up yet for the 10am job. Called and found out that he got delayed from the earlier job. Said he would be with us by 2pm.
Well 2pm has been and gone - no sign of him! Getting annoyed now as we want to go to norwich for some shopping.
My LJ client seems to be a bit broken so I’m blogging via e-mail. 
We arrived here at about 12pm or so after leaving at 9:30am with a big
breakfast halfway and we started with unloading the stuff.
Had a rest for a while before heading over to my mum’s sister house in
Wroxham to pick up a sofa for my sister’s bf and dropped it off at my mum’s
house before heading back home.
The van has covered 381 miles and my limit is 400 miles. (200 miles a day)
>From here to Norwich Airport is about 12 miles, giving me a total of 393
miles or so. So close… Unless something happens on the way (road closed
due to roadworks, etc) and bump up the mileage! If I do went over the limit,
it’s 10p per mile which is not that bad anyway. We’ll see tomorrow morning.
Ohh, tomorrow, they want the van back by 9am, which means I need to avoid
the rush hour, so I will be leaving here at 7:30am. Hopefully that should be
early enough to beat the rush hour.
After dropping off the van, pick up the car and drive back here for 10am’s
carpet man to replace the “dodgy” carpet (see earlier post). Once that’s
done, clean up the house and head to Homebase to order the wardrobe we
wanted since our shopping at IKEA didn’t find a suitable one for us. Then
fine a garage for MOT for the missus’ car which is due on 29th July.
So, no rest for our day off tomorrow… Then back to work on Tuesday.
And I missed Top Gear again. Damn. Need to watch it on Tuesday.
IKEA shopping all done and 300 pounds poorer. Now at B&Q car park, waiting =
for the heavy rain to stop before going to the shop.=
Its just after 7am. Starting to wake up now, have brekkie and then head to =

Looks like we had rain overnight.=
We have arrived at Kettering. Very dry here and as usual, warm and humid.
Going to head down to the corner shop and get something to eat.=
Having abreak now. The A14 is nasty. Lots of traffic and accidents. So we g=
ot delayed like an hour or so.
Very heavy rain here. And wind like a storm!=
Got the van. We are now on the way to Kettering! Too hot today.=
Even that it was cool during the daytime, it got humid in the evening!

Obviously we didn’t do much at the other house - just re-laid the carpet in the bedroom as it’s all done. That’s all as it was too hot to work.
Came home, relaxed a bit, did two load of washings and played HL2.

Work was ok. I went for a walk around the college to see what sort of chang=
es hs been done so far and wow, there has been a lot of building work been =
done. New lift. New ramp for wheelchair access. New windows and much more. =
It looks different now.
Day off tomorrow and also on Monday. Picking up the van tomorrow afternoon =
and then we are off to Kettering. On sat, we are off to MK for IKEA shoppin=
g. Finally on Sunday, we come back home. A busy weekend then.=
