And we have a day off from work. Yay! Same with Monday too (Bank Holiday)
Whoever are on holiday, have a great time!
It’s sunny outside, and a bit warm. Going to see if there are anything good to attend today.
But first! Breakfast!

Went to see the doctor today about the rash on my foot and got a cream for it. Hopefully will clear up before our holiday!
Went to see my mum, who is ill too and gave her a lift to see her doctor. Afterward, I went to PC World to buy some wifi stuff for my friend and then headed to work.
Can’t believe it’s Thurs tomorrow already, seems that easter break is making the time go by quickly!
Still no plan about the house we liked… but we have been looking at our money deeper to see if we can afford it or not. We might wait until our payday which is in 2 weeks time and see if we can afford it or not… and then go from there.
It’s harder for first time buyer…. the Gov should do something about it! House prices has been increasing a lot while our wages increases very slowly… so how can we afford it? Anyone agree? How can you afford it? What did you do? Sell your body? ![]()
Nothing to report.
Things are okay and house hunting is still ongoing.
Being stressed about house hunting & money is not a good thing.
Going to sleep to refresh up my mind.
Spotted my old car while house hunting. Its the red ford escort. And it has been chaved up. Lol. Large exhaust and alloy wheels. But looking good and has been polished well. The back bumper is still cracked.
It was a good car for me and am glad to see it being used well.
Tried to arrange another viewing for a house but it was sold too. went to another shop and asked to view another house and was able to see it straightaway.
Very nice house. Big rooms. The garage has been converted to a workarea and study room.
Thinking about it.
Food now…
Forgot to mention about the scruff mark I found yesterday when washing my car - it looks like someone scraped my front bumper and didn’t bother leaving a note!
See the photos and feel my pain:

It stands out a lot when you look at the bumper and it’s ugly. :/
Can’t believe anyone would do that!
Had another half day today to see my doctor, only to find that they are fully booked so made an app for next Wed. Went shopping to buy stuff for lunch and went home to have my lunch.
Then washed both cars - was exhausted at the end of the afternoon!
Yesterday, I arranged to visit a house for viewing this Sat. Today, they contacted us to let us know that the house is sold. So another one gone.
It’s getting harder and harder to find a good house thta matches our budget. Oh well, the hunt continues…
We’re raising money for the Garden Appeal and Evening News took these photos along with the article.
I’m in the background. ![]()
So its here now. Should be interesting to see where it is going now.
Heard it’s snowing in South London. Crazy.
But then it was frost this morning and had to scrape the windscreen. And it has been cold all day with the gritter lorry going around this evening, it looks like we may have more frost tonight.
The new air filter seems did the trick… the idle is much more smoother and felt quicker when going off from stop. So that’s a bonus.
3 weeks till our holiday… hurry up!
Just finished fitting the K&N air filter panel for my ST170 car.
When I took apart the air filter box, I found out why my idle was crap - the intake air was loose! And lots of dirt… looks like the previous owner and/or the garage who sold me the car didn’t clean it properly or re-fitted the loose intake air tube!
See the photos for the full removal and reinstallation of the air filter box including the dirt in the filter box.
Hopefully it will improve when I take it for a drive tomorrow to work. ![]()
Morning was spent being lazy, so nothing to report.
In the afternoon, we went to play badminton and then our weekly shopping.
Then we checked out a house before cooking our roast dinner. The house was in a very tight build area so I didn’t like it straightaway. The missus thought it was ok. Don’t think we’ll arrange a viewing anyway.
The house we liked a month ago is still on the market so we’re still thinking about it… *shrugs*
Watched Invasion - interesting! Can’t wait to watch the next one next week.
Work tomorrow. Bleh. But at least it’s half term so no students! Yay!
After the pub yesterday, we headed home, did some paperwork and looking through the magazine for Centre Parcs’ event during the week of our stay in 3 weeks time.
There is an 4×4 event which is 2 hours for £50 where you can take a Land Rover off road and learning the basic driving skills of driving it. Not sure if it’s worth it but it should be fun. Need to find out more about it before booking it.
And plently more to attend… think it will be an expensive week!
Anyone done the 4×4 thing before?
In the evening, we went to the Deaf club to play some card game and working in the bar for a bit.
Sunny again today. Thinking to have my car washed again, but then we might go out soon today so may wash my car in the evening when it’s cooler.
I need brekkie but i don’t think we have some left… ![]()
