The Freelander i used last week developed a fault with the brakes. Today as i cant use it i am driving a Ford Fiesta. Its am okay car but under powered! But then it got me from A to B.

Now having my lunch before i go back to The Forum in Norwich.

From the time we woke up at 8am, we spent all morning watching TV in bed, keeping warm till 11am. It was nice and relaxing.

In the afternoon, we went food shopping and I got the Flash Car Wash System. it works wonders and my car is sparking clean. Before I got the chance to take some photos, it was already dark. But I might do it tomorrow morning if it’s not icy.

We’re cooking roast dinner now, yummy!

Went to the monthly’s deafies pub meetup last night - it was good and almost everyone was there. My sister wasn’t well, poor thing.

And it felt strange staying there until late, where we usually get kicked out at 11pm. That’s due to the new licensing law where the pub stays open till 1am.

The drive back home was bad because of the cold and icey weather and I was shivering all the way home, even with the heater on! Brrr…

Today, did some shopping, washing up, clothes washing, hoovering and some tidying up. And TV too. Was okay and the house looks clean now.

Tomorrow, hoping to wash the car if it’s warmer, as today was colder than usual!

Games Night at the Deaf Club tonight, so I might go.

Today was good. Managed to get the job done with two issue which the user need to monitor.
I am off to Dereham on Monday morning and then to The Forum in the afternoon. So a busy Monday for me!

And the weekend is here at last!

Out of interest: a question to you I.T. People - do you drive around and fixing pc outside the building area? I am just curious…

Having lunch now…

Work here is doing ok so far. Still need to finish a few more pcs them im off.

Busy day at work, been trying to sort out some server problem which I have to visit outreach over 20 miles away to have a closer look at it. Plus swap out two machines and some rebuilds. Could take all day I think. But should keep me busy. And I get to drive the Land Rover’s Freelander again.

Tonight, was at the club to help out with the bar work and some other stuff. Talked to the new manager of the deaf club - she said she want to improve the building, the services, etc and was good to meet her finally to talk about it.

Almost the weekend, yay!

So George and Dennis got booted out.

Think it’s either Barrymore or Chantelle who are going to win. But who knows?

Had a bath, shave and feeling good now.

Going to buy Flash Car Wash System and give it a go over the weekend. Was told it ws good, so I’m hoping it will make my car sparking clean.

Time for some TV in bed.

Almost got wiped out on the dual carriageway. I was on the 2nd lane driving and all of sudden the lady driver on the 1st lane decided to start overtake to the 2nd lane when i am already there! She didnt even look sideway to see if it was clear. I braked and steered to the right to stop her car from hitting mine. My car was almost close to the barrer on the right.
Soon she noticed my car and she moved back to lane 1. And blurted out I AM SO SORRY!! Sorry!

We was shaken but feeling okay afterward.

But that doesnt make things okay. The fact is she was too lazy to look around before changing lanes.

Still I hope she has leant her lesson!

I’m shivering with cold. It’s white outside with frost. It’s 8.8C in this room. I breathe, a white mist come out of my mouth.

Sooooo cold!!

No time to turn on the heating as it’s time to go to work! Hopefully my car’s heater will warm us up!

Work was okay. Did some jobs and closed a few calls. Not much happening.

Was supposed to attend an local event of MoDaCo but due to frost and with the ungritted area of our local road, we thought it was a bad idea to attend. Shame, really as I was looking forward to meet the owner of the website, Paul, as he lives in Norwich too. Maybe next time… hopefully soon, maybe in the Summer!

Came home, got two letters. One was from the warranty company and they have refunded me for the repair job last week. So that’s some money back to my bank’s saving account. The other letter was from my old car insurance. They said they’re not refunding the unused months because I did not send them the certification of insurance, even that I did. :/ I’m going to contact them again and get them to check the letter again.

*rubs hands* It’s cold… need heater!!

TV licence fee to rise to £131.50

They kept rising the fee.

But did they improve the service for Deaf people? Feck all!! It’s still the same even they they assured me it will improve in 2003, 2004 and 2005. What’s happening for this year? No idea.

The TV licence fee includes the radio service (works out about £21 or so) - why am I paying for it? I can’t even hear it! I even told them about that too and they said we all have to pay, no matter what. They won’t do any discount for Deaf people, but they do give discount for blind people. Unfair.

It’s cold tonight. This room is now 11.5C

Outside are around 3C and it’s starting to form frost on roads and cars. Brrrr!!

Guess I’ll be busy scraping ice off the windscreen tomorrow morning!

It started with one red paper clip on offer for a trade.

After a few trades later, he got a van!! And he’s looking for something bigger to trade the van in.

His aim? To get a house.

We watched The Island on a DVD which I borrowed from a friend and thought it was a very good film. Gets you on the edge on some of the sences. Pretty good.
