Home now

Wednesday, September 21st, 2005

Football today was great. Loads of people involved and plently of media. Possible Anglia News or BBC Look East and also Evening News and/or EDP newspaper. All of this is for Disability Awareness Week.

Also met a Norwich City player - Adam Drury and signed the book - Norwich City Official YearBook, which was being handed out for free to everyone who was involved.

This Sat, it has been confirmed that we will be wearing the Norwich City kit and be on the ground for some kick around - this should be good. :D Can’t wait!

Dinner

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005

Our dinner tonight was nice - we made our own pie, stuffed with cheese and fillet, along with baby potatoes and gravy.

Mmm, yummy and we were full afterward.

Spent most of the evening watching TV and relaxing.

Tomorrow are going to be an awesome day - work till 12:30p-m, meet up with my sister and head out to UEA for football and some action. Media are going to be there, so I could be either on TV or newspaper. :D

So that means an early night for me!

I really cant wait for the bus strike to finish.

The drive to work are getting worse. It took me 45 mins and thats for leaving 15 mins early! Need to find the right time to leave to avoid the traffic…

In other news I cant wait for tomorrow - being on media and playing football with the players. I am going to take my digital camera with me. Should be a great day!

Monday stuff

Monday, September 19th, 2005

Today has been a slow day, even that it’s Monday where it’s usually busy. So I’ve been helping out with the helpdesk to clear out the long open calls, went out during my lunchtime to top up my car and got some lunch before heading back to work.

And finished work 30 mins early to go home.

Remember I told you about my new gadget - PIX Sports? Well, I submitted my video to Firebox (on the bottom) and it appeared this afternoon.

Well, just now, I received a £10 voucher from them as a thank you for the video. Now what shall I buy with my £10 voucher… ? :)

Today

Sunday, September 18th, 2005

Today has been a relaxing day. Spent most of the yesterday cleaning up our rooms and it is much better.

So today was just driving around, buying stuff we need, checking out cars & houses and watched DVD.

A nice, relaxing Sunday.

And tomorrow - work. Yay… not.

PIX Sports

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Work wa sok but slow day. Fewer students today due to bus strike. It was even on the local news and I didn’t know Anglia News was on campus. Had I knew, I would have walked past the camera. :P

Received PIX Sports today, it’s pretty good, small & niffy. People who I showed this to wants one lol.

Had football training session this evening, went well but we got soaked as it was raining.

Next Wed, we (including me) be at UEA Sports Park to be on TV & newspaper with the NCFC team, should be fun. Then possible playing at the football ground during the half term of Norwich City vs Reading, exciting!! This is for the Disability Awareness Week. I’m going to take my digital camera as this is the moment I will never forget. But it’s all down to the groundmen who will allow us or not… stay tuned.

Traffic update

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

Even that i left the house 20 mins earlier than usual, there was even more traffic. Lol i cant win. And i still managed to turn up at work 10 mins late. Oh well.

In another news it looks like the bus strike has affected students from getting to college as there was far fewer students here compared to yesterday.

Better start my work…

Graphic Card

Wednesday, September 14th, 2005

I’ve been looking around for a new graphic card to replace my two ageing cards to one graphic card with dual head for my 2 monitors.

I think I’m going to get the XFX GeForce 6600 GT (GX-043-XF) from Overclockers since it’s more suited to my budget.

Anyone got this card?

In the meantime, I’m off to bed. Not looking forward to the traffic because of the bus strike. :( Yeah, I will be leaving here a bit earlier!

Nite

Microsoft Codename: MAX

Wednesday, September 14th, 2005

Forgot to mention that this morning at work, I have been playing Microsoft Codename: MAX - it’s kinda like a photo organisation, where you can create a “list” of photos to be shared and email your friend/family who has MAX installed, who then can browse the album(s) of photo you set up. I believe it works similar way as P2P - you update the list, your friend/family get the latest photos automactilly.

Very interesting and it’s only beta! Can’t wait to see what it’ll be like when it’s done.

Work, Dentist appointment & bus strike

Wednesday, September 14th, 2005

Worked till 2pm where I went to pick up the missus before heading to our dentist for our appointment. Cleaning/polishing and filling for me while the missus got a cleaning/poliching.

My filling came off itself so it got put back on with a new filling.

Received news about the bus strike in Norwich for one whole week which is a bad news because we have millions of roadworks in Norwich and with the bus strike, people are going to drive to work and it will have a massive traffic jam.

That means I have to leave here early in the morning to get to work on time. Usually 10 - 15 mins of driving to get there on a good day, today took me 40 mins. That’s just because of the road work, wonder how long it will be tomorrow… not looking forward to it.

Oh well.

Firebox once again

Tuesday, September 13th, 2005

After a few weeks of deciding what to get for my £10 Firebox voucher, which I got from Craig, he reminded me that PIX Sports has just appeared on Firebox with a reduced price, I decided to get it! :D

It was around £39.99 on many other websites but it appears the price has been dropping down fast. Can’t wait to get it!

In other news, work was ok.

Yesterday & today, we went to the gym, it went well.

The new game which got over the weekend, Flatout, I’m enjoying it more and more. I’m getting well with driving. And I want a steering wheel. Maybe I can find one cheaply. Maybe Mr Chris-who-always-shop-at-GAME know of a good price and recommend one?

Going to have a quick shower before eating something.

Home now!

Monday, September 12th, 2005

Well, we got home 2 hours ago. Was nice to be back home. :D

Then we took the other car with the broken exhaust to the garage. No part available. Bugger. But after a quick phone call by the garage, they said thye can have one delivered by 3pm and fix it by 5pm today. Yay!

However, it would cost us £177. :/ It’s the sort of exhaust that comes with Catalytic Converter, which is costly. Oh well. Still, the car will be fixed by today which is good. :D

Time to unpack some stuff…
