I seek answers

Thursday, June 30th, 2005

Work was busy for a change. Was preparing for the weekend downtime due to electricity work on all Campus and some improvement work in the machine room so yeah, we’ve been going around the building, preparing it.

In the evening, went to the club for a chat & game of pool. Then afterward, went over to a friend house with the gang to discuss about this Sunday’s trip to Alton Towers. 8 of us are going. One of them and I are going to drive there.

Agreed to leave Norwich at about 6am or so. So that means we’ll have to wake up early! But it should be fun once we get there. And we’re staying overnight there too. Then we might consider using the Early Pass ticket to stay there on Monday till afternoon, where we drive back home.

Can’t wait to go this Sunday. :)

Heading to bed… nite nite

The fat cat meowed and licked the milk from the cow

Wednesday, June 29th, 2005

Hello, it’s Wednesday! And it’s almost Thursday in a few hours time. Too quick.

Work was okay. Last night was amazing - lots of lighting & thunder it gave us plently of light during the evening - it’s like the cloud are shining their torch. :)

Anyways, my mum said that Tiger is now at home and a big vet bill… almost £350 - ouch. Going to help her with the bills a bit. But the main thing is, Tiger is home now after 1 and a half week at the vet.

After work, I picked up the missus, went home, dropped her off and then drove back to Norwich (and almost crashed to a car - more on this later) to meet a friend for a chat & lunch before going to watch the cinema at UCI - Kung Fu Hustle - what a funny film!! I’d recommend you to watch it.

Now home, relaxing and catching up with paperwork including car insurance renewal. Ugh.

Now the “almost car crash” - I was turning right to a road and drove along thta road. On my left, there is a car coming out of the junction. She was looking at the other side of the road WHILE STILL DRIVING OUT OF THE JUNCTION. She never turned her head round to look at my side of the road. I slammed on the brakes. Sccccrrreeeeeccchhhhh!!!

She turned her round and saw me. She has the WTF face expression. As I stopped almost to her driver door with the thick smoke of burning rubber drifting around my car, she waved her hand around and saying out OMG SORRY SORRY OMG SORRY as she drove past me and left.

I was like wtf, heart beating fast and the smoke cleared out. And drove away, looked at the rear mirror and can see the black mark on the road, where I braked.

It’s amazing I didn’t hit her car and am glad I stopped in time, other she would have got hurt if I hit her driver door. But still, stupid woman for not looking at both side of the road!! She looks like mid 40s or so. She should know better…

Oh well, nevermind. Rant over. Nothing to see, move along and surf TEH INTERWEB!

Today!

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

Today was a great day. Did load sof stuff today and I got the chance to play with Disc Stakka Showbox - what a fun device!! It allows you to load 100 CD or DVD in the machine and label it with the database installed on your machine. Search for the specific CD and it will eject the correct one. It can be stacked up to 5 giving you 500 CD/DVD via one USB cable. More than it, use USB hub. Awesome. However it’s a bit expensive, but then it’s a new product so it should drop in price soon.

In other news, I received my Bluetooth GPS and I had fun with it too. Drove around roads, it tracks the map correctly and I’m happy. Should be useful when I’m off to Alton Towers with my friends this Sunday. :)

After work, we went swimming again - niceee! Then had dinner after swimming which was nice.

Now home, relaxing, ready for tomorrow’s action.

Ohh, I should be receiving the phone stuff tomorrow. Can’t wait. :)

Online shopping

Monday, June 27th, 2005

My wallet is full of moths now. I’ve just done my phone stuff shopping and I got the following:

* SPV C500 car charger
* Universal Windscreen Mount Phone Holder
* Twin Cigarette Lighter Adapter

The Twin Cigarette Lighter Adapter will be useful as it will be able to charge my phone and GPS at the same time.

Speaking about GPS, I should be getting that tomorrow in the post - can’t wait. :)

Sleep now…

Our cat, Tiger - the update…

Monday, June 27th, 2005

Just received a text from my mum, saying that the vet are still waiting to hear back from the blood test. But Tiger is improving and my mum are hoping to have him back home this week as he has been at the vet for the past week. Poor thing. Worried about the large vet bill. :/

My sister and I are helping with the vet bill so my mum doesn’t have to pay the price all by herself.

Hoping for good news this week!

And now for today…

Sunday, June 26th, 2005

Had a good sleep as I needed that!

Went out to see our cat, Tiger at the vet and he seemed to be looking a bit better than before but he’s still on the drip. The vet lady says he did not eat very much, but when all turned up, he was happy to see us and he ate loads of food and drank water. Which was good.

Basically, the vet are saying that his bone marrow may not be working as there are very low red cells and very high white cells. The blood test result is due tomorrow so they will find out what’s wrong.

Tiger has been indoor at the vet for almost a week, so my mum took him outside to give him a fresh air and he tried to walk, he wobbles and fell a few times. But he seemed happy that he’s outside. :) We all really hope he will get better soon.

Left the vet to head over to Sainsburys to get some food for the week before heading home.

Thinking about going for a swim today…

Yesterday

Sunday, June 26th, 2005

Man, yesterday was a very busy day. Left in the morning and did nt come back till late in the evening.

I did all of the listing I posted yesterday apart from one, which was coming back home. We didn’t see the point of that because it’s 20 mins drive to home and then we’d hyave to leave again in a short amount of time. So we decided to stay in Norwich before heading to Wroxham.

The “party” at my mum’s members house was good. Saw lots of bats flying around as the darkness falls. It’s so tiny! :)

Left there about 10:30pm and got home about 11:20pm, won an auction on eBay (Bluetooth GPS) and then headed to bed.

Overall a great day yesterday.

Morning!

Saturday, June 25th, 2005

Pah, I only slept for a few hours… got up at 8am. But I’m ok & awake.

Had a bath and a shave. But ran out of shaving foam, so had to use shampoo to shave with… it was ok but hurts a bit. Need to buy one today.

So far, the plans for today are:

* Go to the city
* Have lunch
* Meet up with a friend at 1pm to check out computers at a building to see if thye can set it up as a Cybercafe for deaf people weekly. They wanted to see if thyeneed new PCs or better broadband speed, etc
* Get home for relaxing.
* Go to my granny’s house tonight for my mum’s sister’s graduation party.

So, yeah a busy Sat. The weather is holding up OK so far…
