Evening

Monday, January 31st, 2005

Right, it’s the evening now. Been busy with helping a friend to recover from a hacked website. I can’t believe phpbb are so poorly programmed, even that it’s up-to-date, it still got hacked. So I’ve made him to switch to a better board software. Almost done. Think it’ll be done by tomorrow hopefully.

Work tomorrow. I wonder what fun it will brings. I peeked my work’s emails and it says that the heating has broken down, so some parts of the buildings could be cold. Hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow.

Okay, I need sleep now. Nite peeps

Allo!

Monday, January 31st, 2005

This morning, I woke up feeling happy because I have a day off from work! woohoo.

Had breakfast and went out to Argos to buy stuff.

Came back home, had lunch, watched TV, just relaxing and enjoying the day off. Did some living room re-org, just the DVD shelves from one wall to the other side of the wall and it’s looking better.

I thought my car deserved a car wash as it has been a while, I think5 or 6 months. It was so dirty, you couldn’t barely see the red colour on the bottom, around thd car.

Took my car to the car wash and picked the full job - wash, underbody wash, wheel/tyre wash, rinse, waxing and air drying.

BIG difference and it’s sparking clean, just like when I got that car last year. :)
It’s almost evening, wondering what I should do next.

Hallooo!

Sunday, January 30th, 2005

Morning everyone. Cold & damp this morning.

Got a text message from my friend, who was on his snowboarding holiday, saying that they have arrived back to UK and is about 4 hours away to get back to Norwich. He was saying he had a great holiday, good for him. I can’t wait to see him so we can talk about it and check out the photos he took.

Plans for today are to take out rubbish to the wheelie bin, get some clothes washing done and hopefully get out of the house.

Man, the Sat TV are getting crapper and crapper - well apart from C.S.I. & Law and Order: SVU which were good watching.

Going to do some skin editing for my message board…

Back now!

Saturday, January 29th, 2005

What a day!

We spent all afternoon driving around and shopping in Norwich and fixing stuff.

First was to post the ebay item to the winner bidder. Then to Homebase to buy some bath mat, door lock and radiator bleed key. After that, we headed straight to Sainsburys for our weekly shopping. That took almost full trolley so hopefully it will last us longer than 1 week. :)
Headed back home, packed away the food, had our lunch, watched a bit of TV. I started bleding the radiator to get rid of air as the water boiler is saying that we have too high water pressure. And man! The air inside the radiator SMELLS! Sorta like dead fish. :/ Seems to have worked as the pressure has dropped down.

I then did some filling of a hole that started to grow bigger and the screw came out therefore it wasn’t fixed to the wall anymore. Gotta wait for it to dry fully before I can drill a hole. Perhaps tomorrow or Monday.

I hoovered up the living room and the hall, did some tidying up, washing up and it was all done!

In the late afternoon, we headed out to some places to look around some houses to find out the average price - some nice houses out there. I want to win the lottery so we can move out here.

And now we’re back home, and I’m typing up this entry! :)
Hope you all had a nice Sat!

The lateness of going to bed resulted me getting up late. But it was a nice sleep!

It’s Fridayyyyy!

Friday, January 28th, 2005

Finally, we’re at the end of the week - it’s Friday!

I’m looking forward to the weekend including a day off on Monday, so that’s 3 days of resting. ;)
Our Letting Agent still haven’t replied about our boiler so it’s unlikely someone is coming round on Monday. :/

Ok, back to work.

What a crazy day at work

Thursday, January 27th, 2005

Very few fault calls so we was hanging around doing nothing.

Until 3:30pm came - a report from a lecturer saying that one PC thta has its side panel removed by someone.

I visited and found that someone unscrewed, removed the side panel and pulled out all cables, breaking some cables.

But the odd thing is… the video card, 2 x 256MB RAM and P4 CPU are still there. What’s the point of that?! I mean, I would understand if the student wanted to steal the hardware stuff, but to leave them and rip out the cables? What’s fun in doing that? Gah.

Took the PC back up and laid it on the workdesk, ready to be fixed tomorrow.

Got home at 5:15pm, as I worked a bit late to catch up with the owed hours. Walked to the postbox to post some ebay stuff, went back home, did the washing up and started to cook dinner.

Checked post mail, got some money for the mobile phone, quick payment! Going to cash it in to my bank and then post it this Sat. If anyone is still interested in the mobile phone, bid away. :)
I better check my dinner now.

Hallo

Howareyouallmypeoples?

I’m good. Crazy afternoon in our office at work - electrician guys fitting in new power points around the office as there was not enough points.

Orange called me 4 times today, even that I told them I am deaf and they should either email me or text. But no, they called anyway.

I rang them via Typetalk and asked what’s happening. They was just following up to confirm that GPRS was working fine. I told them yes, it came back up last week and they’re happy & closed the case. *shrugs* Still, nice of them to call back and check that I’m happy.

Speaking about Orange, my SPV C500 phone are still good and I’ve installed some good programs to make my phone useful. The 512MB MiniSD memory card does help a lot!

Our water boiler’s pressure got low and the owner of this house didn’t leave the tool required to ‘fill’ the water tank, so I’m going to contact our Letting Agent to arrange for someone to pop round to take a look at it. And hopefully he will give us the tool required to do this ourselves next time. Hopefully that will happen next Monday, where I’ve booked a day off.

At the moment, I’m just relaxing, IRC’ing and catching up with my emails…

The Doctor

Tuesday, January 25th, 2005

First-year students at Med School were receiving their first anatomy class with a real dead human body.

They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered with a white sheet.

The professor started the class by telling them, “In medicine, it is necessary to have 2 important qualities as a doctor. The first is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the human body.”

For an example, the Professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the butt of the corpse, withdrew it and stuck his finger in his mouth.

“Go ahead and do the same thing,” he told his students. The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes, but eventually took turns sticking a finger in the butt of the dead body and sucking on it.

When everyone had finished, the Professor looked at them and said, “The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger and sucked on my index finger. Now learn to pay attention.”

My recent eBay auction for the mobile phone has been sold! It has been up for the past 7 days.

It was at £40 with 10 mins left until the ewnd of the auction. Between that 10 mins and the end of the auction, it increased from £40 to £62 - not bad!

I’ve listed another one. :)
In other news. work was ok. Fecking cold weather and it formed ice on our car’s windscreen, even the anti-freeze spray can’t get rid of it! Had to keep spraying for a while and scrubbing! But no snow, so that’s good. No idea about tomorrow, but I’m sure it’ll be icy and cold.

I know will be jealous that I saw them close by! ;)
