After getting home this evening, I had a nap as the driving was wearing me out under the hot weather. A few hours later, we got ready and went to a resturant, so we can discuss what to do tomorrow.

We have decided to go to Nottingham to see Sherwood Forest, the area where Robin Hood lived. (hey, does this really happen or not? we’ll find out tomorrow then!)

It’s 10:30pm and it’s still warm. Too warm, I must say…

Well, today is a very hot day! Hope it’s nice whereever you are in.
In the morning, we called Santa Pod to see if there are any spaces to watch the race and it was fully booked! Oh well, so we decided to go to Rockingham Raceway. No phone number, so we’ll turn up and see what happens. we went to Tesco to get some food and drink.

Then we was on the way to Rockingham. When we arrived, there was lots of cars everywhere, so it’s looking good… until we arrived at the secirity gate - the man said “No access for public!” Bugger, there is no race today, just private events where all people have a go with “Land Rover” type car but by BMW and it looks soooo interesting. The people had a go with driving over hilling and rocky path with the large truck. Shame, so we got turned away.

We stopped somewhere and had a look at the lap to see where we could go next. We decided to go to Lyveden New Bield to look at a house, where a man did not finish building about 400 years old. It’s part of National Trust and was cheap to go in. So it’s worth it.

It was very nice with interesting history. I took a few photos (well, a lot) and had a walk around the field.

It was time for lunch, so we headed off to Bringstock Pinic Area, where we sat down and had our lunch, and also ice cream to cool us down in the blazing sun.

We headed back to Kettering and then to a pub to have a drink. Then we went to B&Q to find out some costs for some materials we needed for this house. After that, went to petrol station to top up my car and now we’re at home for a rest before going out tonight.

We left Norwich about 12pm to go for a break to Kettering. The traffic was good, even that I’ve seen lots of caravans and cars with bags full in the boot. So it was good. We stopped halfway for a drink and lunch.

We arrived here about half two or so, unpacked our bags and had a lie down for a rest. We watched Kill Bill vol 1 on DVD.

In the evening, we went out for dinner & drink at Frankie & Benny’s. It was nice. Then after that, drove around Kettering to see if we can find any events happening over the week, but didn’t find anything, so we headed home.

Tomorrow, we’re hoping to go to Santa Pod or Rockingham Speedway/Race.

Today, we’re off to Kettering for a short break. Not sure when we will be back!

Tomorrow - a plan? Shall have to wait & seeeeee.

It’s 26C in this room - too hot.

Almost 4pm now. Going to switch off monitors on servers & put tapes in backup devices and prepare to leave here on the spot.

No one has screamed for help with logon problems, forgotten password, etc so it was a good day.

10 mins to go till I escape here for lunch.
Need to go to Sainsburys for lunch.

Hm… big prize tonight for Lottery. I got the tickets (£2 worth), so… good luck to me & you all if you got one!

Well, last night was great. We got there about 7:30pm. And the pub was already full. We managed to find some seats to sit down for a drink and a bowl of chips as we didn’t have any dinner.

Loads of people to chat with and a few others whom I have not seen for agggges. It was good to see them again. It’s really shame that the tables are not close together as there was about 3 or 4 different groups of people scattered around the pub, instead of in one big group. So I had to go around and talk to them. But still it was a good night anyway.

Waffled home about 12am, faffed about on my computer for a bit and headed to bed about half one. Hence walking up late this morning.

I took my camera to work so I can edit them and upload to my server.

*sleeps*

*mumbles* It’s Sat, I need sleep..

Sat? 8:26am?

I have overtime work today at 8:30am. SHIT.

I got up and got changed as quickly as I can. I grabbed all of the stuff I needed and drove to work as it was quicker than walking.

Managed to get to work just after 8:30am. Phew.

All of this because last night was awesome. More of this later…

* Went for a drive around
* Got some food from watrose and had lunch
* Went to garden center to loo look for flowers we wanted, but it was not there
* Getting ready for pub tonite

Yeah, a short post cos we’re late.

Previous tenents of this house must be well dodgy! Yet another letter from the Debt Recovery, asking for £3,119 for the Egg credit card.

We’ve called the compnay three times, telling them that the previous owner has moved out 2 years ago and they said thye will stop sending out the letters. Yet they still send us the letters. Bah.

Some of you may remember I have a faulty motherboard with leaked capacitors? Well, I have been trying to contact Ebuyer for RMA for the past 2 weeks but they are refusing to help me as it was over 12 months of Ebuyer’s so called “warranty”. I contacted Soltek and they tell me Ebuyer should accept it for repairs. Soltek asked me to ask Ebuyer to accept it so Ebuyer can send it back to their reseller.

I asked Ebuyer to find out who was their reseller so I can send it to them directly. But Ebuyer refused to tell me who their reseller is and closed the support ticket. Bah. I contacted Soltek again and explain the problem.

They replied today and said that he has been in touch with Ebuyer and Ebuyer promised to contact me to about it… last week. So I guess Ebuyer couldn’t be arsed to contact me. However, the nice guy at Soltek located Ebuyer’s reseller and gave me the direct contact details so I can get the motherboard RMA’ed.

Hurrah! Now, let’s get the ball rolling!

I went to work today, asked for next Wed, Thurs and Friday as holidays. They said yes. I took out my timetable sheet to write down my holidays. Then I found out that I also have Monday & Tuesday off (Bank Holiday and Concessionary Tuesday), so that’s 1 whole week off from work.

Then I asked to see if I could have a day off for today too and they said yes, so I packed & headed back home.
Which means I can do more work around the house & garden and other paperwork (including exam)

Youth club was good. Someone came and taked about water sking… but I don’t think I’ll be going, maybe just to watch.

Afterward, went to the pub fo a drink.

Tomorrow, big group of people are going there, so I’m joining them - should be fun. I need to remember to bring my camera.
