Last Night

Wednesday, December 31st, 2003

After work, I got home and relaxed in front of the TV as usual.

Then we went to dinner at Pizza Express as we didn’t feel like cooking dinner. After that, I popped over to Craig’s house to drop off something and discussed about New Year party.

That reminded me that today is the LAST day of the Year 2003. One year has gone by quickly and tomorrow, we will see 2004.

What are you hoping that 2004 will bring you?

In other news, as I got £20 Firebox voucher from Craig, I ordered PowerBall and man it’s very addicting! I managed to get 7,000rpm at the first few tries. Some people managed to do over 11,000rpm after lots of practice. But it’s noisy so I suspect it might be related to the box being squashed during the delivery. Need to return…

Must… beat… that… :)

Anyone seen the LJ ads yet?

If you missed it, LJ commercial 1 of 4:

Hiya!

Monday, December 29th, 2003

Work today was so exciting - not. Did the memory upgrade, that’s all. PCs delivery didn’t come, so perhaps tomorrow.

After work, got home early. Watched lots of junk TV.

Went to B&Q. Got some stuff. Went to ADSA afterward for small shopping.

Got home, cooked dinner and watched TV again.

If the PCs delivery do come tomorrow, then I’m hoping to have this Wed off from work.

That’s all.

Anyways, the day today…

Sunday, December 28th, 2003

Today was good & busy as usual.

Morning

Went over to see Craig to give some presents to them and had a quick chat. Then popped over to Big W and saw Craig again and had yet another chat.

Got some stuff from Big W and most of them was for birthday presents, so we’re keeping them till the birthday date for my family & friends. :)
After that, we went to Halford to buy a can of oil for my car as the oil level is dropping. Got home for lunch and left my car to cool down.

A few hours later, I topped up my car with more oil and checked around the engine, topped up the screen wash and the radiator. Then went for a drive around including on the dual carrageway to get the oil around the engine. Soon after that, we went straight to the city for yet more shopping! Sales are great. :)
I got Donnie Darko from Virgin, which was only £5.99. Bargian.

Got home, cooked dinner and watched Monster Inc - what a great film. I don’t know why I didn’t watch it when it came out ages ago.

Tonight, I just finished setting up my webcam which is now ponting to the AntQuarium. All I needs are ants! Anyone got tips to catch some ants? :)

Film - Donnie Darko

Sunday, December 28th, 2003

Help - anyone with a copy of this film, “Donnie Darko” on DVD - please can you confirm if it comes with subtitles?

I got it from Virgin today, but I forgot to check if it comes with subtitles or not. I have not opened the package to check, so obviously I need for someone to check before I open it.

Otherwise I can return it unopened and get a refund.

Thanks.

The new electric shaver are actually good. I need to get used to it, but the first result was pretty good.

But now, we have to leave here to visit my parents house!

New Toy

Saturday, December 27th, 2003

I am the proud owner of the new PhiliShave Cool Shave (model HQ6764) today :) Haven’t used it yet but I will soon. Reading the manual, it says it will take between 2 to 3 weeks for my skin to get used to it, so that’s not bad.

We need to get ready to visit my parents for buffet at 5pm.

Electric Shaver

Friday, December 26th, 2003

Anyone use Electric Shaver?

I am thinking about getting one but I’m not sure if it’s any better than normal razor. Does it still cut you? Does it still leave your skin “dry & sore”?

Would you recommend Electric Shaver (wet) over bog standard razor? And why?

Thanks.

Edit: Wet Shaver, of course… I forgot to mention it.

Boxing Day

Friday, December 26th, 2003

Hope you all had a very nice Boxing Day!

We went to shopping this morning in the hope to find something good on sale. I got Monster Inc DVD (£5.99 - Sainsburys) and Health Grill (why do they call that??). We also had a look around for a TV but didn’t find anything good on sale. That was in Bennetts, so we might go to Coment or Currys tomorrow and see if we can find anything good.

We’re cooking dinner now as we’re feeling hungry after a visit to see my Granny this afternoon. My mum’s sister gave me a large mug and chocolate.

Hope you all had a nice Boxing Day!

This afternoon, we cooked our biggest roast dinner ever. I ate three large Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, 4 stuffings, and roast Quorn. It was so nice and we were full up.

Afterward, we watched loads of TV. Lots and lots. And ate lots of choccy from Quality Street large tin box. Yummy! And felt asleep while watching “Tomorrow Never Dies” cos the heater was on, so the house was snug and warm.

Tonight, we’re planning tow atch even more trashy TV, repeated films and eat more chocolate!

Tomorrow - XMAS SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We’re going shopping to buy stuff for me before heading to my Granny for buffet in the afternoon about 3pm.

I hope you all are having a great time today!
