Work was great, lots of stuff done!
After work, we went to Comet to pick a new washing machine as they offered us to pick a new one as the same model is out of stock.
Sadly, we did not find anything for the same price, so we ended up paying £90 extra for a better washing machine. Still, that would mean we’re just paying £90 for a brand new washing machine. Pretty good.
But. Oh yes, always a but.
They said they will pick up the old washing machine, and at the same time, they will drop off the new washing machine… if we pay the £24 delivery charge! We said that if they’re picking it up for free, surely, they can deliver it for free too, but they won’t accept it.
We then argued how Comet and the service engineer fucked us around for 2 weeks, which involved:
1) engineer was due to visit and then cancelled it for no reason a day before the visit
2) 1 week later, new date arranged, engineer went to wrong house, wasted half day waiting for him to come as they never let us know.
3) engineer refused to come round after 4pm, they want to come round at 2pm even that we told them that no one will be home! gah
So she called the manager and agreed that the delivery charge wavied. Good stuff.
Paid for it, arranged a delivery date and we should get it next Sat. The only time they can offer was Thurs, Fri & Sat (not this week, next week!)
Long wait, but should be worth it… hopefully!
After the visit to Comet, we went to UEA as she needed some work to do, while I surfed the ‘net and helped out a bit. We were there until 11:30pm, when we decided to go home.
I’m feeling worn out. And sleeeeeepy! Bed soon.
