After a few hassles to get my road tax, it’s all sorted and it’s displaying on my car. So that’s everything sorted, road tax, MOT, repairs - all done!

Went to my eveing class today for the cisco exams… it was okay. Got home a bit early, cooked some dinner and watched a film on BBC 3. Don’t know the name of thre film, but it was good.

Lately, we have been getting some nice weather and I need to get my nitro powered truck fixed so I can take it for a ride on the hills & track I found on Tuesday. The servo is dead as far as I can see and I need to find time to take apart my old electric car, use the spare servo and put it in my nitro truck. Hopefully it will fix it, otherwise I’m fooked and have to buy a new one, about £15 or so… unless I can find one cheaper.

In other news, I’m trying to find out the cheapest price for paintballing with a few friends. I have never done paintballing before, so I hope to get the chance to do this.

Another day gone, another day at work. Not much stuff happening.

Need to renew my road tax today as it expires today. A reminder to you all too if yours expires today.
I want my next car to be VW Golf but I can’t find one for a reasonable amount.

Sunny & hot day today. Been busy at work. And thanks to Craig for helping me to set up my Linux box… still need to do some more work, tho.

Hoping to go out tonight, but not sure where to.

Car’s back from the garage. Only £63.45 inc VAT which is not bad. I’m happy.

Nothing to report so far about this eveing.

Today at work was okay. Spent most of the time researching for a suitable laptop for me to use at work and found one - FR105 which I think shoul;d be good enough for me to use.

Now going to pick up my car… hopefully the bill for the repairs are not too high.

Good morning everyone. Woke up to a raining day and I hate it. Why? Because I left my coat in the car and I forgot to take it when I left my car at the garage. I don’t have an umbrella or any other coat that are waterproof.

I’m hoping the rain will stop soon but it doesn’t look like because it’s pouring down heavy.
My assignment is almost all done, just need to clean them up a bit, so I’m sending them to my mailbox at work. Then when I’m happy, I’m going to hand it in!

Going to make some toast now.

Sunday was okay. Went shopping, washed our piles of clothes, made some bread, watched TV and did my assignment. I think it’s all done and will hand it in tomorrow evening.

Oh yeah and pick up my car at 4pm tomorrow. Hopefully the bill won’t be too expensive.

I’m too tired to write a big post, so I’ll end now.

Nice so far.

With the help from Craig, we chose Mandrake 9.1 to start playing with Linux. I downloaded 3 ISOs files (around 650MB each) overnight and it finished downloading this morning. I burned these files on CDs.

This afternoon, after returning from my car’s MOT, I started to install it. Man, it was so easy! In the old days, it would mess around with the hard drive partition and wipe out my data, etc. Now it’s all easy. I’m impressed.

I’m now on the desktop of Mandrake, downloading all of the security updates before I start to use it. Looking good so far.

Car boot sale = crap! There was not many cars selling stuff. Must be the weather.

Took my car for MOT and it failed. Need a new exhaust box. They also said that the brakes was ‘binding’ (not being released properly) so both of them will be fixed today and will be re-MOT’ed on Monday. As I will be at work on Monday, I left my car with them over the weekend. I’m going to pick it up on Monday at 4pm, after work.

Hopefully it won’t be too expensive.

The weather is crap now - lots of rain. Where is the sun? It’s nearly summer fer gawd sake!!

Got home for my lunch and there was two red bills.

One was for water bill. I paid for it last week. Guess they was too slow to process my payment. Called them anyway just to make sure. “Yes sir, we got your payment, thank you. Please throw the paper away” Waste of paper!

The other bill was for council tax. Yikes, forgotten all about it. Tried to find out if I could pay for it online, but nope. Cash, cheque or post office (plastic card required)

Bugger. So I went to the Council Tax office to pay 2 months worth just to be on the safe side.

Walked straight back to work afterward and I’m feeling hot. The weather is nice. Wish I could go out and not be indoor all day.
Tonight, we’re going out for birthday dinner for my step-dad.

Plans for tomorrow

* Go & check out the big car boot sale early in the morning
* MOT for my car at 10am. Hope it goes well.

Yesterday was okay. Carried on with my assignment, went shopping for some stuff we needed. Not much afterward.

This morning, I got to work late. Whoops. Trying to find some work around here… it has been pretty slow week lately. Hopefully it will be busy next week when all staff & students returns from their Easter break.

Guess I’ll carry on with my assignment here.

Last night was okay. Spent most of my time doing my assignment… I hate writing a report. I’m nowhere near to finish it. I’m hoping to finish it here at work but I’m not sure if I can do it as I’m doing some work on the laptops.

One more day till the weekend!

I’m at work now and there are not much to do. So I spent my time finding how to set up SQL server properly and suggested FoxServ.

So I went and downloaded it

Perfect! Apache, MySQL and PHP - all in one. Install it, start the services and it’s ready to be used! No hassle of configuring it. Yay, thanks !
I know some of you hard core people may think I’m lazy, but since I don’t have time to configure to finish my Project assignment, this is perfect for me.
I’m going to set it up when I go home for lunch.
