Before I start setting up the page, I want to ask you all…

I’ve been looking around some companies that scraps the car. However most of them charges between £40 to £60 to come round to my house, tow my car away and crush it.

Since it’s expensive to scrap a car, I have been thinking about setting up an donation page, where people can donate whatever the amount they send to the donation. Once raised enough, the car will be scraped and any left-overs from the donations will go toward Norfolk Deaf Children.

So, is anyone up for this?

* Packing my clothes and getting ready for the trip to London tomorrow afternoon.

About London, my friend and I are going to stay there until Sunday to meet up w9ith the other friends for her birthday party on Sat evening. Hoping to visit around London on Sat morning/afternoon and also Sunday morning.

Need train ticket. Going to chase my sister to get the train ticket and pay her. But she’s not answering my text message. Guess she’s busy at work.

I’ve finished moving all of my LJ image files to directories in date order on my web server. Then updated all of my post where it has links to the images file so it will work too. Took me more than an hour to do them.

And deleted some old pics.

Thinking about making these directories viewable to everyone so you can browse around.

Got home now. Gonna to re-do the Windows installations soon.

Just noticed that I have three new peeps on my friends list.

Just modified my journal and I like it now. Easy on eyes to read.

The main journal stays the same, but I have updated the friends, the Calender and also the Day pages.

Hope you all like them.
I wish LJ would hurry up with S2 so I can modify the Comment pages too!

Last night installation went blah. I blame my tireness.

I installed Win98 on drive D

Then installed Win2k on drive C and converted drive C to NTFS.

Guess what happened next? Yes, Win 98 didn’t boot up correctly because Win98 system files are on C drive, where Win98 doesn’t support NTFS.

Gonna to format and start all over again, with Win98 on C and Win2k on D.

Anyway, I got to work early today. I took a different route and it’s a lot quicker. Saved me about 15 mins of journey time. I think I’ll start using that route.

Modem’s working on my new computer. My 2nd HDD has been set up and formatted. All ready.

Now installing the required operating systems, software, etc.

Bah, I got my RMA number for the faulty CD writer but the company is based in Germany. Hope it won’t be too expensive to send it to Germany!

Nice, sunny day today. Shame I’m indoor all day, still stuck in the Dev room. (see yesterday for my moans). Can’t wait for my 10am break.

I washed my car a few days ago as I haven’t washed it for a few months, it looks clean now. Lots of dirt came out apart from splattered dead flies still stuck on the front which I’m unable to remove. Anyone got any ideas what should I use to remove them? I’ve tried srubbing them hard with lots of car shampoo without any luck.

Dum dum daaaa

Well, well, no posts to my journal since 9th July.

That’s due to lack of modem for my computer. And an IDE cable for my hard drives. I ordered one last week, post office tried to deliver it on 11th but I was not in the house. They left a card, saying they will keep it at the royal mail sorting area about 3 miles away for 7 days.

I popped over there on the next day. They said they don’t have it yet and asked me to come back 2 days time. Told them I won’t be home all day as I would be working and that my parents will be on holiday. I asked them to see if they could redirect them to my work address. They said yes so I left them a new address. That was last Friday.

Monday came. Nothing. Today came. Nothing too. I even went to the mailroom in College, nothing there.

My sister ICQ’ed me, telling me that the parcels has arrived. The postman said they have been waiting for me to pick them up in my local Mail sorting area, which’s only a 5 mins walk from my house!

Yet they left me a card, advising me to pick them up 3 miles away? Grrr.

Work’s still the same - stuck in development. Rumours going around about me moving to another dept in 2 weeks time, which I think is a good news but we’ll have to wait.

I guess I better stop now and go back to work - laters.

Sorry for thelack of updates over the weekend. Been busy with my life.

Found out that my modem is also dead too, so no internet for me on my computer for a while.

Watched Time Machine on Sunday and it was okay.

Well, um.. yeah thats all I have to say for now.

I’ve built my new computer and it’s looking good. Booted up with the new hard drives without any problems.

Good news - my GeForce 2 video card works fine! Yay!

Bad News - CD-ROM, DVD Drive and CD Writer - all DEAD! Bah. I hope the CPU works fine.
I have an old CD-ROM so I’ll use it to install operating systems & software while I wait for the new cd-roms.
