Before I renew it, would it be worth it if I install a car alarm? Would it drop down my insurance?

Depends on History and Firm.
History: If you’ve only been involved in accidents it won’t make much, if any, difference. If your car has been stolen before, and is also in a high-risk area, then yes, it’ll make it slightly cheaper. However, it does depend of firm, so I suppose you’d have to go asking around
