While I’m gone, here’s something to keep you busy on a Sunday!
1) A snail is at the bottom of a well 30 feet deep. It crawls up 3 feet each day, but at night, it slips down 2 feet. How long does it take for the snail to crawl out the well?
2) If 2 hours ago it was as long after one o’clock in the afternoon as it was before one o’clock in the morning. What time would it be now?
3) 2 boys on bicycles, 20 miles apart, began racing toward each other. The instant they started, a fly on the handle bar of one of the bikes started flying toward the other bike’s handle bar. As soon as it reached, it turned around and went to the other bike and so on until the bikes met. If each bike had a constant speed of 10 mph, and the fly was traveling 15 mph constantly, how far did the fly travel?
