Bah, LJ is still having problems and I can’t reply to any of your posting.
I’ve kept all URLs of posting that I want to reply, so when LJ works again, I’m going to reply your posting.
Forgot to add… after arriving back home, I took my car to the car wash in my local Sainsbury because the car was covered with sticky stuff.
You see, the car park at the hotel of London, it’s under a tree, which was bad…
The car wash cleaned all of the sticky stuff and it’s now beaming clean. ![]()
What a great time I had in London. So many place, so little time. Here’s the breakdown of the places we went to…
Warning: N0t spelling checked, s0 you may find s0me typ0s…
Friday
Arrived to the hotel in London at about 2pm.Had a quick rest and unpacking our stuff. Got my first birthday present from my friend, which was “Where Wizard Stay Up Late: The Original of the Internet” - a book all about how the Internet started and grew. I also got a new DVD, which is “Chicken Run”. The book is very good.
We then went to Pizza Hut for dinner. After our dinner, we walked around Oxford Street and Oxford Circus, visiting different sorts of shops.
Saturday
We went to The London Dungeon and saw loads of horrible stuff. Still it was very good. We saw the story about Jack the Ripper, The Great Fire of London and many other things.
After this, we walked around Tower Bridge, walked past Tower Hill and around that area, visiting each shops. Went back to the hotel, grabbed something small to eat. We decided to visit Soho (site 2) because we haven’t been to that area before. It was very interesting town. We also visited the China Town (a href=”http://www.travelbritain.com/london/chinatown.html” target=”_new”>site 2) and Piccadilly Circus. The lights are amazing in the evenings.
Sunday
We went to Camden Town in the morning and afternoon as there are loads of market on Sunday. We enjoyed our visit there and I got something for my sister. The weather got bad in the afternoon, but we carried on browsing around because it was good.
We then went back to Oxford Circus to look at shops again and had our dinner. We went to Canary Wharf for a walk-around because that area has developed rapidly. Loads of building area and lots of new towers. We walked over the bridge called The Fisherman Walk to a pub called Bar 38. We spent £38 on cocktails, which was £12 per jug, also known as “pitcher”. Expensive but the taste was so good, which is why we got three jugs of cocktails. ![]()
We then wandered back to the hotel and fell asleep!
Monday
We heard about the Notting Hill Carnival so we decided to go there. What can I say? It was VERY good, loads of music (I could feel it booming to my body) and loads of action from the people involved. There was so many people around the street and we had to push ourselves through the crowd to get out of the street after the carnival to make our way back to the hotel as our feet was throbbing with pain, since we has been standing almost all afternoon. Had our rest before going out in the evening for dinner.
Tuesday
Packed our stuff back to our bags, left hotel at 11am, had a break at Little Chief in Newmarket (near Cambridge) at 12:30, got to my friend’s house to drop her off at about 2:30pm. Finally got home at about 3pm.
Opened all of my birthday presents and card. And I had a good rest on the sofa, watching TV. ![]()
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to London and I wish I could stay there for a few more days because there are so many more places to visit! Maybe next year…
yup, I’m back home now. ![]()
More details later…
It’s time for me to leave my house now. I need to get some more petrol, and do some shopping.

You all behave while I’m away! ;o)
Sounds bad… but the good news is; it’s an LOW risk.
“… Trojan.Offensive hides in an .html file or a Web page on the Internet. When opened, the page displays one button that contains the text “Start.”…”
“… If the Trojan has been executed, the victim will not be able to run any programs. Aside from contacting a local security pro, he or she should consider reinstalling Windows….”

Here is a true story someone found regarding exams at Cambridge University.
It seems that during an examination one day a bright young student popped up and asked the proctor to bring him Cakes and Ale. The following dialog ensued:
Proctor: I beg your pardon?
Student: Sir, I request that you bring me Cakes and Ale.
Proctor: Sorry, no.
Student: Sir, I really must insist. I request and require that you bring me Cakes and Ale.
At this point, the student produced a copy of the four hundred year old Laws of Cambridge, written in Latin and still nominally in effect, and pointed to the section which read (rough translation from the Latin):
“Gentlemen sitting examinations may request and require Cakes and Ale”.
Pepsi and hamburgers were judged the modern equivalent, and the student sat there, writing his examination and happily slurping away. Three weeks later the student was fined five pounds for not wearing a sword to the examination.
Good morning peeps. I hada nice sleep, but the side of my tummy hurts - guess I slept in bad position. ![]()
Time for bed. ZZzzZZZZzz
